WHERE DID THEY COME FROM?
The Ocicat is a hybrid, developed in the United States by crossing a chocolate point Siamese with an Abyssinian. The first born Ocicat "Tonga" was a genetic accident. Tonga reminded its breeder's daughter of a baby Ocelot (therefore the name Ocicat). They are totally domestic with no "wild blood." These beautiful spotted felines were first registered with the Cat Fancier's Association in
        1966.
        HOW BIG ARE THEY?
The Ocicat is the largest shorthaired breed; females weigh between 6 - 8 pounds, and males average 10 - 13 pounds (some get even larger) when full grown at 18 months to two years of age.
WHAT TYPE PERSONALITY DO THEY HAVE?
While the Ocicat looks wild its temperament is anything but ferocious. They are very friendly and love to play with children and dogs. This wild looking animal possesses a temperament that seems almost "doggy" like and can be trained to fetch, sit, and respond to human commands. It is alert, loving, and gentle.

        OUR SPECIALTY
We specialize in the wildest looking color of the Ocicats, the spotted tawnies. The elegant spotted tawny glows in soft luster from a bronze undercoat spotted with rich dark brown or coal black. The tawny spotted kittens in appearance, look like a kitten that just stepped out of the jungle.
Chocolate, silver, and cinnamon colors are also available.
We are cat lovers dedicated to matching the right pet with the right family and meeting the need of both. We've worked hard to educate ourselves on the needs of the cats we cater to. Our kittens are bred for their temperament, mellow dispositions and their beauty. Our kittens are placed mostly by reservation to qualified homes.
